Keen to further empower the team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for an experienced Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) to join our team in Nonnweiler-Primstal, Saarland. 

The role will be responsible for our strategic purchasing and supplier management to ensure processes as well as the efficiency of the company.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Project management
  • Determination and analysis of demand
  • Triggering and tracking of orders
  • Optimization of procurement logistics
  • Supplier management 
  • Price inquiries and determination of delivery times with suppliers
  • Responsibility over the complaint process
  • Preparation of framework agreements in cooperation with Legal

Job requirements

  • Professional experience (min. 2 years) in purchasing and materials management or in a similar position
  • A completed commercial education and/or proof of acquiring comparable knowledge
  • Knowledge of MS Office365 and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Independent, structured and conscientious approach to work
  • Basic technical understanding
  • Strong negotiation skills and cost awareness
  • Good to very good knowledge of German and English
