Sunlight Group is characterized by extensive M&A transactions (more than 10 the last two years), heavy investment plan and long-term volume growth. Achieving €1.1bn revenue in 2023 through organic and inorganic growth, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Corporate Strategy & M&A Associate to join a fast-moving group and contribute to its geographic, sectoral, and vertical expansion initiatives.


The Corporate Strategy & M&A Associate will support the end-to-end execution of a wide variety of corporate transactions, including international M&A and strategic investment projects, providing complex financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision making.


Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Perform financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and business due diligence, to assess the strategic fit and financial viability of potential acquisitions and strategic investments
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks
  • Support end-to-end deal execution, including structuring, due diligence, drafting of transaction documents and integration planning
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units to understand integration needs and gather requirements to drive desired results of the integration plan strategy
  • Oversee post-merger integration efforts, working with operational teams to ensure seamless transitions and achievement of synergies
  • Present complex financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner to drive consensus around business development priorities

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting or corporate development, with a focus on M&A and strategic analysis
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present insights to senior stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English (both verbal & written) is a must
  • Frequent travelling shall be required
