Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Senior Direct Buyer (Electronics) to join our Lithium Procurement Department at Sunlight’s Athens premises.

The Senior Direct Buyer (Electronics) will be responsible for the efficient execution of procurement strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, to safeguard quality and on time delivery of products and materials to meet demanding production needs.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Develop sourcing strategy for Battery Management System and electronic application
• Liaise with internal teams e.g. R&D, Product for exploring potential suppliers and / or for certain projects based on customers’ requests
• Execute tenders and purchase materials for company’s plants & RND teams in according to engineering specifications, price, quality, lead time, reliability, ESG, production & distribution capabilities
• Collaborate with MRP to carry out all necessary arrangements for the proper delivery of goods and follows up accordingly
• Negotiate contracts for pricing, payment, delivery time plans terms with suppliers to achieve terms that are in the company’s best interest
• Monitor inventory requests and production schedule to coordinate purchasing activities with company’s current and anticipated demand of materials
• Monitor and ensure the efficient resolution of issues related to delayed supply and/or improper quality of the incoming materials
• Conduct suppliers’ evaluation according to company’s required standards and contract terms
• Create reports for the management team according to procurement’s procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role (preferably in electronic industry sector)
• Fluency in Greek & English (both verbal & written) is a must
• Technical knowledge of the main electronic components categories and good understanding of electronic market trend
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP
• Excellent communication and negation skills with the ability to build trustworthy relationships
• Attention to detail, highly organized and problem resolving mentality
• Excellent negation skills and ability to discuss electrical products with knowledge and experience
• Multi- tasking, willing to take initiatives and take quick decisions
• Team spirit work and adaptability
