Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an experienced Prototype Technician to join our R&D Lithium Department. The role is responsible for providing technical support for the design verification and prototype build of lithium batteries for industrial and military applications. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.
Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:
- Operates facility and equipment in line with work instructions
- Conducts preparation work and modification on UUT to support test requirements
- Start, stop, running, monitoring and shutdown of any test schedules assigned to them
- Develops and conducts daily/periodic checks of analytical equipment
- Communication of test facility status via utilization documents
- Rectification/diagnosis of issues, engagement of prototype engineers where needed
- Creates internal work instructions and local process documents
- Conducts test setup activities; Material handling, rig fabrication, rig assemble, test instrumentation, HV & LV electrical connections and any other connections
- Installs/uninstalls test components into facility
- Supports/Responsible of area 5s activities
- Carries out goods inwards and outwards inspections and checks
- Ensures all tooling is within calibration and raise non-compliances with facility technician
- Responsible for working within and maintaining a safe working environment
- Aids in material handling activities
- Undertakes any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time
Job requirements
- 2-3 years of working experience as Prototype Technician in industrial/ manufacturing environment
- BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) - MSc is a plus
- Excellent MS Office knowledge
- Fluency in English & Greek
- Familiarity with schematics and wiring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
