Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for a high caliber Project Manager to join our IPCEI team in Athens or in Xanthi. The project manager will be responsible for managing different projects, ensuring schedule & budget targets are met among other KPIs. The incumbent, based ideally in Xanthi (if based in Athens but should be available to spend 50% of his/her time in Xanthi) will have to manage internal & external stakeholders and communicate effectively issues and risks in a timely manner This is a global role in a very demanding manufacturing environment which will open numerous career opportunities to advance further in the battery manufacturing industry, the fastest growing industry in Europe and globally, currently & for the years to come.


Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Establishes and tracks projects schedule & critical path
  • Ensures that deadlines are followed
  • Creates & maintains project & sub-project budgets
  • Ensures projects are delivered on budget
  • Defines project objectives & project scope
  • Actively manages risk & external dependencies
  • Effectively communicates risks to relevant stakeholders & escalate on a need basis
  • Enforces health and safety protocol
  • Prepares progress reports for senior management
  • Identifies the resources needed for the project
  • Oversees the implementation of project improvements

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical project management in industrial or construction environment
  • Official Project Management certification is considered a plus
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Superb interpersonal, communication & organization skills
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Fluency in English & Greek (verbal & written) is a must
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable
