We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our IPCEI team in Xanthi. This is a critical role for the success of our IPCEI Pilot line as it requires a deep knowledge of maintenance methods relating to Autonomous Maintenance & Preventive/Progressive Maintenance. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible to establish all the maintenance procedures for the complete cell manufacturing operation. Your work will start already at the OEM side during FAT & SAT and continue with establishing the standards for equipment maintenance, being the key enabler for successful production. This is a global role in a very demanding manufacturing environment which will open numerous career opportunities to advance further in the battery manufacturing industry, the fastest growing industry in Europe and globally, currently & for the years to come.


Key responsibilities:

  • Supervises creation & implementation of AM & PM procedures
  • Supervises and lead all maintenance processes and operations
  • Leads continuous improvement projects
  • Tracks expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance
  • Maintains all equipment to ensure it’s at base conditions
  • Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems
  • Plans and manages all repair and installation activities
  • Assigns repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates
  • Documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs
  • Oversees equipment stock and places orders for new supplies when necessary

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a University or technical school
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous managerial experience is a bonus
  • Good understanding of the technical features of mixing, coating, converting, ultrasonic & laser welding, automation assembly (all is a strong benefit, any combination of these is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English & Greek (verbal & written) is a must
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable
