Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for a passionate Industrial Automation Engineer to join our IPCEI team in Xanthi. The role revolves around designing, commissioning & starting up the electrical aspects of our new IPCEI line for battery cell manufacturing in Xanthi. You will be working in a highly complex manufacturing environment, on the latest advancements of process automation. As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be co-designing the electrical infrastructure of the complete cell manufacturing process, working side-by-side with multiple OEMs across the globe. You will be responsible to design and perform all the FATs & SATs as well as ensure smooth start-up of all the typical production steps of cell manufacturing, from mixing & coating to cell assembly & formation. This is a global role in a very demanding manufacturing environment which will open numerous career opportunities to advance further in the battery manufacturing industry, the fastest growing industry in Europe and globally, currently & for the years to come.


Key responsibilities:

  • Defines electrical specs for our new IPCEI line (PLC, HMI, Robot, Vision Systems, Data collection systems)
  • Performs electrical FATs & SATs
  • Software testing & validation. Establish validation protocols for PLC & Vision system programs.
  • Ensures scalability of electrical infrastructure
  • Identifies and repair complex electrical failures on production equipment
  • Trains plant resources on debugging electrical failures

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Automation
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation environment (batch mixing and/or web converting and/or assembly automation)
  • Capable to program in PLC & HMI
  • Capable to configure robotic vision systems
  • Superb communication & organization skills
  • Fluency in English & Greek (verbal & written) is a must
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable
