We are currently looking for an ingenious Embedded Software Engineer for our BMS Software team within the BMS Develpoment department. The role will focus in developing test methods, designing and executing experiments, and prototyping new innovations to improve existing or delivering new lithium battery products that meet customer requirements and company high standards. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will have the exciting opportunity of working in a group that develops innovative products. Your role:

  • Complete SW product development (requirement analysis, detailed design, software development, testing) for our future products
  • Analysis and extension of existing software modules according to customer requirements
  • Bug fixing in existing software components
  • Troubleshooting and identifying issues on running battery systems
  • Collaborating in a team environment across engineering disciplines
  • Review code to improve quality and ensure compliance with certification standards

Job requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Sciences & Technology
  • At least 3 years programming experience in C language
  • Minimum 3 year experience on microcontroller firmware development (preferably ST or Microchip)
  • Exposure on communication protocols (e.g i2C, SPI, USB, UART)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, datasheets, and wiring diagrams
  • Familiar with revision control systems (e.g. Git, Svn etc)
  • Familiar with integrated development toolchains (e.g Eclipse, KDbg, MS Visual Studio, MPLAB, VS code etc)
  • Fluent English, both in speaking and writing
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally worldwide
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable – are a must

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Embedded Systems Knowledge on Energy Management Systems
  • Experience on CAN bus networks will be considered as an asset
  • Experience in one of the following communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, CAN-FD)
  • Programming experience with C++
  • Familiar with configuration and requirement management tools (eg: JIRA, Confluence)
  • Development according to MISRA guidelines
  • Development on regulated environment (eg: IEC61508, ISO26262)
