Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we're looking to hire an experienced Design Verification Engineer to join our R&D Lithium Department. The role will revolve around the prototype development of lithium batteries for military and industrial applications, with focus on the product design verification. The position is based in Xanthi, Greece.


Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Prepares the design verification test plan for the batteries under development
  • Sets up the laboratory and makes all appropriate arrangements for a complete and functional test bench
  • Executes the design verification test plan, completes the respective reports, and documents any non-conformities
  • Compiles work instructions for the Prototype Technicians and ensures work package is in place: inc. instruction, information, parts
  • Provides direction to Prototype Technicians in troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Acts as communication link between customers and Prototype Technicians: interprets customer’s requirement and data output
  • Produces data and assumptions’ list, updates risks, produces data management plan, and completes Review-Learn-Improve (RLI)
  • Completes test bench BoM, defines calibration levels
  • Delivers test commodity designs in order to support project targets and proves chosen technologies
  • Develops new and maintains old processes to standardise the delivery of commodities and reduce late change
  • Investigates best ways of working to make full use of equipment capability
  • Acts in line with Scheduled Performance targets and commitments and communicates effectively to ensure timely delivery of data
  • Responsible for COSHH and Risk Assessment
  • Undertakes any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time


Job requirements

  • 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role in industrial/ manufacturing environment
  • BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) 
  • MSc relevant energy or electrical systems will be considered as an asset
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge
  • Fluency in English & Greek
  • Familiarity with schematics and wiring
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skill
