Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for a passionate Cell Product Engineer to join our R&D Li-ion cell team based in Xanthi, Greece. This role is critical for the development of our Lithium cells portfolio as you will be in charge of designing electrodes (cathode and anode) for Li-ion cell, in the context of the IPCEI project (Important Project of Common European Interest). This is a global role in a very demanding manufacturing environment which will open numerous career opportunities to advance further in the battery manufacturing industry, the fastest current growing industry in Europe. Candidate will have the chance to greatly impact the product & process development, from the initial concept to B and C samples production on the cell pilot line.


Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Develops new technology platforms by integrating internal technical elements
  • Defines product KPIs and specification
  • Designs Li-ion cells to pass customer qualifying
  • Delivers robust design to manufacturing concept
  • Supports the Cell Process Team in defining DoE
  • Supports  in technical discussion with raw material suppliers
  • Prepares the BOMs (CAD & SAP)
  • Collaborates with production engineers to ensure smooth production handover . Perform Assembly Steps in new product development

Job requirements

  • University Degree (5-year) in Engineering with a relevant Electrochemical background
  • Post-graduate degree to be considered a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in Li-ion Cell product development
  • 3+ project experience, at least one as the project leader
  • Experience in pilot line environment is a plus
  • Fluency in English (verbal & written) is a must
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable
