Keen to further empower our team by onboarding more talent, we are currently looking for a passionate Cell Assembly Senior Process Engineer to join our R&D Li-ion cell team based in Xanthi, Greece. This role is critical for the development of our Lithium cells portfolio as you will be responsible for the Li-ion cell Mixing & Coating process in the context of the IPCEI project (Important Project of Common European Interest). This is a global role in a very demanding manufacturing environment which will open numerous career opportunities to advance further in the battery manufacturing industry, the fastest current growing industry in Europe. Candidate will have the chance to greatly impact the product & process development, from the initial concept to B and C samples production on the cell pilot line.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Defines process KPIs, specification, protocols and templates for specific manufacturing process area (Cell Assembly, from notching to Electrolyte Filling)
  • Defines DoE to be performed in the labs and pilot line
  • Collaborates with Material, Cell Design and Operations teams for the labs and pilot line establishment and daily operations
  • Prepares detailed reports on the experiments, provide feedbacks to the other relevant teams
  • Collects raw data and statistics
  • Supports in technical discussion with raw material suppliers & machine suppliers
  • Supports the Cell Manufacturing team in the pilot line establishment and day-to-day operations

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrochemistry or equivalent is preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant Li-ion Cell Assembly Process design, specifically for prismatic cell
  • Experience in operating in pilot line environment
  • Fluency in English (verbal & written) is a must
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • EU permit and fulfilled military obligations – where applicable
